ECAC/EIGL Division I Men’s Gymnastics Weekly Release

Gymnast of the Week:

Adam Al-Rokh (Temple) - Al-Rokh, a sophomore from Bensalem, PA where he attended the Christa McAuliffe Academy, led the Owls(332.55) over William & Mary(325.65) in a home meet in McGonigle Hall.  The performance marked his recent return to competition from an injury that kept out of competition for nearly a month.  Adam won the competition on pommel horse(14.2) and placed 2nd on rings(14.3) to defending ECAC Champion James Prim of William & Mary.  He also garnered a 2nd place on parallel bars(13.2).  He is an Exercise Science major and received his early training under former Owl gymnast Walt Kenny.  He is a four time academic all-American.

Rookie of the Week:

Bobby Ryerson (U.S. Naval Academy) - Ryerson, a four year member of the Navy squad finally put together routines that enabled him to compete at the collegiate level.  He is a senior from Clifton, NJ majoring in Economics.  At the All-Academy Championships he scored 12.8 on floor exercise to place 11th.  Working a second event he scored 13.4 on rings to place 9th.  His first collegiate competition was at the West Point Open on January 24th.  He received his early gymnastics training under Coach Bob Wasilewski at Gymnastics World, Inc in Clifton.
