Gymnast of the Week:

Derek Gygax-William & Mary
Senior, Stevensville, Md.

Gygax posted season high scores on five events and the all-around as the Tribe (329.55) defeated Navy (319.4) and Army (325.25) at Macdonough Hall in Annapolis.  He placed first in both the all-around (82.7) and the parallel bars (14.05).  Currently the team's top point scorer, his scores counted for William & Mary on all six events.  A biology major with plans to perform bio-medical and genetics research after graduation, he has previously earned first team Academic All-American honors.  He received his early training at Clark's Gymnastics in Maryland.
