West Point, NY - The 2009 Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League (EIGL), an affiliate of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), wrapped up on Saturday, April 4 with the individual competition and the announcement of the year end awards.

4/3/09 Illinois-Chicago Wins 2009 EIGL Team Championship, Navy’s Parrott Wins All-Around West Point, NY – The University of Illinois-Chicago edged the United States Naval Academy by 0.8 points to win the 2009 Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnastics League (EIGL) Championships at the United States Naval Academy on Friday, April 3. Earning first place in the All-Around was Dylan Parrot of the United States Naval Academy (85.250). |
3/27/09 2009 EIGL Gymnast of the Week - Week 9 Patrick McLaughlin (Temple) - McLaughlin, a junior from Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, working all-around for the first time this season, after undergoing knee surgery last summer, scored an impressive 84.45 in the all-around placing second to Miguel Pineda(85.3) of Penn State, ranked 9th nationally in the all-around as Temple(332.3) lost a home dual meet to the Nittany Lions(347.55). |
