BOSTON, Mass. - Georgetown University accumulated a team total of 86 points to win the 2008 IC4A Indoor Track & Field Championship for the first time since 2002.  The Hoyas had finished third twice in the past, but worked themselves back to the top this year for their 12th title in school history.  From 1993 until 2002, Georgetown won the event nine times.

Liberty University took second place with a score of 67, while Delaware State University came in a distance third with a total of 45.  The top five was rounded out by 12-time champion Manhattan College (38) and the University of Pittsburgh (32).

Georgetown's lone event win came in the 4x800 Relay, crossing the line 0.38 seconds before Yale in a time of 7:29.15.  The Hoyas also picked up a pair of second place finishes by individuals in the 55-meter Dash and the 1000-meter Run.

Delaware State sophomore Larrone Moore led all athletes with two wins at the meet.  He first took the 55-meter Dash in a time of 6.31 seconds, and then claimed the Long Jump with a distance of 7.24m (23-9).

Four athletes won an event for the second straight year.  Mike Wray of Pittsburgh repeated in the 55-meter Hurdles, Rory Quiller of Binghamton once again took the Pole Vault, and no one could top Milan Jotanovic of Manhattan in the Shot Put.  Greg Gomes of Seton Hall won the 500-meter Dash in 2007, before taking the 400-meter Dash in '08.
