Washington Wins 105th IRA National Championships

The University of Washington earned 216 overall points to win the Jim Ten Ecyk (Team point trophy) at the 105th Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships at the Cooper River in Camden County, New Jersey.   Washington earned the Varsity Challenge Cup to remain undefeated in the varsity eight this year.  It is the third time Washington has won the Jim Ten Ecyk and the first since 1970.

Defending Men's Lightweight Eight Champion Cornell University took home the 1922 Trophy (Men's Varsity Lightweight Eight) while Bucknell became the first team other than Princeton or Wisconsin to win the Camden County Freeholders Trophy (Women's Varsity Lightweight Eight) since 1999.
