SUNY Geneseo - Associate Athletic Director

SUNY Geneseo is seeking candidates for a full-time, twelve month Associate Athletic Director position.

SUNY Geneseo is a highly selective residential public undergraduate liberal arts college of approximately 5000 students located in a historical village in the scenic Finger Lakes region of western New York, south of Rochester. The college is consistently recognized as one of the best undergraduate colleges in the nation in such publications as US News and World Report and Kiplinger's Personal Finance. This recognition has as its basis our outstanding faculty, staff and students; unusually high student retention and graduation rates; and the high quality of campus life. SUNY Geneseo sponsors 20 varsity sports and is a member of the State University of New York Athletic Conference.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: budgeting; supervision of coaches, staff, student workers, and student-athletes; scheduling; game day management and event execution; comprehensive oversight of indoor and outdoor athletic facilities and fitness center; oversight of marketing and promotions; and involvement with development initiatives. Candidate will be expected to adhere to all NCAA Division III, SUNYAC, and SUNY Geneseo rules, policies, regulations and procedures. If applicable, the candidate would assume the role of Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). This is a full-time twelve month position with benefits. This job description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred with previous experience working in administration of intercollegiate athletics is required. Strong communication and organizational skills, a positive mindset, the ability to multi-task and attention to detail are essential. The ability, and desire, to work successfully within a team-oriented department is required. A commitment to the Division III philosophy of athletics and working knowledge of NCAA rules is necessary.
