SUNY-Fredonia - Facilities Manager/Softball Coach

Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Recreation and Facilities, the Facilities Manager/Softball Coach will have responsibilities for staffing and supervising athletic facilities as required and for serving as member of the softball coaching staff. Facilities Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to: assigning, training, supervising and evaluating student help; handling emergency situations in accordance with safety plan; completing accident reports; overseeing set up/tear down for scheduled events; periodic inspection of rink and pool equipment; managing skate room; resurfacing ice; and performing general oversight of athletic facilities during work hours. Softball coaching responsibilities may include serving as head coach or assistant coach, depending on expertise and experience in the sport of softball.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated, extremely organized, possess strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work a flexible schedule. The ability to: effectively communicate with student-athletes, to supervise staff, and to work with student employees is essential. Bachelor’s degree and softball coaching experience is required. The successful candidate must obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
