Cape Cod is Calling You to Attend the 2009 ECAC Convention and Trade Show

Cape Cod, Mass. -Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Commissioner Rudy Keeling is pleased to announce that the 2009 ECAC Convention and Trade Show will convene on Cape Cod from Sunday, October 4th through Tuesday, October 6th.  The Convention will be held at The Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis, Massachusetts. 

The 2009 ECAC Convention and Trade Show will combine new highlights and programming with favorite traditions of the past.    This year's convention will feature outstanding programming including the following:

  • State of the Membership Address, ECAC Commissioner Rudy Keeling
  • Three hour NCAA Enforcement Process Workshop, Michael L. Buckner, Esq., Shareholder, Michael L. Buckner Law Firm
  • "National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) on the Road"
  • Risk Management, Dr. Louis Marciani, Director of Human Performance and Recreation at The University of Southern Mississippi
  • Gender Equity and SWA Updates, Jody Mooradian, Senior Associate Athletics Director - SWA, Boston College and Monique Morgan, Assistant Commissioner -SWA of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association
  • An Update on the Status of the Division III Identity Initiative, Dan Dutcher, Vice-President for Division III, NCAA
  • "Best Practices" for Drug Education and Drug Testing, Andrea S. Wickerham, J.D., Vice President with The National Center for Drug Free Sport (Drug Free Sport)

Additional highlights include professional development workshops, meet and greet receptions in the exhibitor hall, and a special presentation of the 2004 and 2007 Red Sox World Championship trophies.  The schedule also features an outstanding Honors Luncheon, an event which recognizes student-athlete and athletic administrator award recipients, as well as the much acclaimed Tugboats and Clambake receptions for your enjoyment.  These receptions provide a great networking opportunity while allowing a chance for everyone to enjoy the scrumptious seafood and atmosphere of Cape Cod.  The annual golf outing will take place at the prestigious Hyannis Golf Course on Sunday, October 4th

The quality programming, outstanding networking opportunities, and a chance to experience all that Cape Cod has to offer are available to you at a special delegate registration rate of $75 for all early registrants.  Register between May 8 and July 1 to guarantee the early registration rate.  Delegate registration fees will be $150 from July 2 to October 1 and $200 on-site.
