Karen Roberts Promoted to ECAC Director of Finance
Centerville, Mass. - Commissioner of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Rudy Keeling announced the promotion of Karen Roberts to the position of director of finance. Roberts joined the ECAC in 2004 and has been serving as assistant business manager. In this expanded role, Roberts will be responsible for all day to day financial transactions and will provide fiscal reporting for the ECAC. In addition, she is responsible for identifying changes in business procedures and proposing innovative and cost effective solutions. Roberts will continue in her role as the interim senior woman administrator at the ECAC.
Roberts' financial background includes more than 20 years in both profit and non-profit sectors of accounting that are very similar to those she works with daily at the ECAC.
"I am very pleased to be able to promote Karen," said Keeling. "This assignment comes after a thorough review of all ECAC financial practices and will best utilize her strong accounting background."
A native of Peekskill, N.Y. and a Cape Cod resident, Roberts is a graduate of Mercy College with a concentration in accounting.
